Good morning, everybody. My name is Sandy Beach, and I'm an alcoholic. How are you all doing? It's a pleasure to be here this morning, and I want to thank the committee for inviting me over. And my sobriety date is December 7th, 1964, and my home group is the universe-famous Saturday Night Fever Group here in Tampa, Florida. And we invite you to come every Saturday at 7 o'clock, and then go right on over to the world-famous Monday night meeting in St. Pete. Anyway, I was supposed to speak on Monday, and I had a Monday morning talk ready. And Monday morning talks are just jokes. You know what I mean? Funny stories and drinking stories and all of that. And the Sunday morning talk is, God as I understand him. So you can see there's a big difference between the two talks. You know, because I'm going everywhere. So I'm looking in the closet, and I'm looking in the backyard, and I'm looking all around, and it seemed like, what a bizarre answer. You know, and it was not very helpful. Now my sister and I, my sister now has 26 years in AA, and he and I attended the same church. And what he saw was the most wonderful, loving, happy, comforting place in the world. And what I saw was the most scary, intimidating, frightening place I've ever been in. I would be on the edge of a nervous breakdown every Sunday morning…
