Your Donation Changes Lives
Recovery Speakers audio is free — and it will always remain that way. For over 20 years, Recovery Speakers has preserved thousands of rare recordings of the pioneers of recovery. Your donation keeps this archive alive, accessible, and growing for generations to come.
What Your Donation Funds
Every dollar donated to Recovery Speakers goes directly to preserving, hosting, and sharing the voices that built the recovery movement. Recovery Speakers has no advertising and no outside investors. We are an independent nonprofit, supported entirely by the recovery community.
While our Speaker Collection will always be free, select advanced site features — such as enhanced search tools, personalized collections, and research tools — will become available through a voluntary membership. Your support today makes all of it possible.
Audio Restoration
Digitizing deteriorating tape recordings and restoring rare historical talks to high fidelity.
Permanent Hosting
Securing high-bandwidth, permanent hosting so thousands of talks remain freely available 24/7.
Preserving the Voices of Recovery
Recovery Speakers holds one of the largest collections of historical 12-Step recovery recordings in existence — thousands of talks, meetings, and interviews spanning from the 1940s through today. Many of these recordings exist nowhere else on earth.
These are not just historical curiosities. They are living documents — people in recovery today find them just as relevant and moving as they were when they were recorded. Keeping them free and accessible is our commitment to the recovery community, present and future.
“When you transfer the obsession from self to that of service to others is when you get up, stand up, and stay up.”
— Recovery Speakers, Founder & President
