============================================================
Hi, Bill. Hi, Arbutus and family. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get around to doing this, but, uh, I think perhaps you have already received the tapes that Granger and I made, and, uh, it's taken me a little longer to get around to it. Uh, it so happens that I, it's either feast or famine in A.A.s, you know, and I've had five Twelve Step calls in the last week, and, uh, they really keep you busy. I had to hospitalize two of them. So, you see, we have a problem here in Vancouver as well. Well, I don't know just what to say. I know that I enjoyed your tape very much, Bill, and I hope we can carry on and supply you with something that you may enjoy from our part of the country. I know that I'm going to send you some talks of Dave B.. He was our, uh, trustee for Montreal. He was trustee for the whole of Canada, and now I believe we're going to have two. I believe Green is our trustee now. So, uh, thank you very much, uh, for your tape. I know that Granger and I had a well of a time, uh, doing a tape for you, and I think, as I said before, that you have received that by now.
Um, I am sending you on another tape, uh, our public meeting that we held prior to our last conference, which I believe turned out to be a real success. We were able to get a lot of clergymen, doctors, social workers, and two or three psychiatrists, besides nurses, and those that are in contact with the families of alcoholics and who needed some information, and I think got it from that meeting. And then we're sending you, uh, I'm also putting on that tape, uh, talks given here at the conference by, uh, B., Alan B.. He is, uh, or was a trustee in New York. I don't remember where he was from, but he also was the chairman of the uh, public information committee, and he was able to help us considerably in our approach to this subject, although there was quite a bit of controversy here on anonymity and so on, but we kept strictly within the confines of our Twelve Traditions, so I think everything went rather well. Uh, we hope, both Granger and I, and Mary and Tilly, to go to Seattle for a conference that, uh, will be held the first, second, and third of July. Uh, so we're anticipating a wonderful time there. Well, Bill, I won't take up any more of this time, uh, of this tape, and, uh, get right into Bill B.'s, uh, talks that he gave to us, I think it was in 62, uh, at our conference. Uh, a wonderful character and a wonderful man, so maybe if there's any, any tape left at the end, I'll have a few more words to say. God bless you, Bill, and bye-bye to both of you.
