DECEMBER1988 Lois W. lived a long, full life. She died on October 5, 1988 in Westchester County Hospital in Mount Kisco, New York, at the age of 97. Her part in the formulation and the subsequent success of the AA Fellowship is incalculable. As a founder of the Al-Anon Family Groups she has brought hope and new life to millions who once suffered the loneliness and despair of alcoholism.
